Sorry, I didn't update last week...the third week of rehearsals and tech week were so busy, they kind of blurred into one. So much has happened, though,...I turned 25 and we opened! I am really proud of all that we were able to accomplish in 3 weeks. It's hard to put a musical up in three weeks, but putting a musical up that deals with roller skating is even tougher. I will admit that I have found a new passion in life...I love skating!!! I don't feel like "Kira" unless I am on the skates. It was nerve racking to think that at moment I could potentially fall in front of an audience, but I have since accepted the fact that I will probably at one time or another fall...and when I do it will be with style.
All last week, I felt like I needed to be pinched...I had a wonderful birthday and the show I had been preparing for since October opened! I still can't believe it happened... but it did and it was a success! By the end of the weekend I think I was beginning to find my stride, and I love using every performance as an opportunity to grow. I'm, most definitely, looking forward to the next week of shows and the discoveries that will be made. I love this cast so much! They are all so wonderful, and being on stage with them feels like home!
