Week 2 was a long and busy one! We finally got up on skates! Despite falling a bajillion time, I laughed larder than I had in a long time. The best part was seeing full grown adults skate around in a small circle wearing head to toe pads and helmets. The cast and I were really able to bond over our many tumbles...and bruises. By the end of the week I was feeling pretty comfortable on the skates, and actually perfered being on them opposed to walking.
Dominic (Sonny), Billy (Director), Don (ATI Founder), and I had the opportunity to talk about Xanadu on the radio.
We have hit that point in the rehearsal process where everyone is frustrated and wondering how it will all come together. Luckily, we finished the week off with a designer run, where we were able to piece together everything we've worked on. It felt good to see that progress has been made. We still have a lot of work ahead of us, but man is this cast talented! We really grew close this week through our frustrations, tears, laughter, and encouragement. I feel so blessed to be able to perform this show with them!
